The ability to reflect on one's own learning process plays an important role in knowledge and skill acquisition activities. Metacognition, or "thinking about thinking," allows us to monitor, evaluate, and adjust our cognitive strategies to improve our learning outcomes. Metacognitive reflection specifically involves reflecting more deeply on our learning experiences, allowing us to evaluate our progress, identify areas for improvement, and make informed adjustments to our learning process. In this article, we will explore the concept of metacognitive reflection, its importance in learning, and practical strategies for incorporating it into our educational dynamics.
